We are seeking a candidate to carry out a doctoral thesis within the Spanish call for pre-doctoral contracts 2021.
The thesis will be carried out within the framework of the PROWARM project «Winter is not coming: Understanding the pine processionary moth range of expansion in a context of global warming» (PID2020-118444GA-I00). More information about the project here:
The candidate must have a degree related to forest ecology (Biology, Forest Engineering or Environmental Sciences), a great motivation for research, and a medium-high level of English. The thesis will be developed at the cambium research group (https://www.cambiumresearch.eu/) of the EiFAB of Soria.
Cambium research group is highly multidisciplinary and includes 15 researchers related to ecology, botany, dendroecology, remote sensing and ecophysiology. The cambium group belongs to the University Institute for Research in Sustainable Forest Management (iuFOR): http://sostenible.palencia.uva.es/
The thesis will be supervised by Gabriel Sangüesa-Barreda and José Miguel Olano.
