Assistant Professor

I am a plant ecologist interested in understanding the response of natural systems to global warming and human impacts. My approach to this topic includes the use of dendrochronology, quantitative wood anatomy and ecological modeling. I apply these techniques to forests and shrub communities from the dry tropics to the temperate areas of the Southern hemisphere, and from high-mountains to semiarid gypsum environments. I love fieldwork, I enjoy playing with R and I am always ready to learn new methods of data analysis.
